21 Years

On Friday, hubby and I celebrated 21 years of marriage. I’m so grateful he’s in my life – God did an amazingly good thing bringing us together.

We didn’t do anything super special to celebrate – we took the kids to dinner at PF Chang’s (which every time I go there I have to stop and ask myself why. I really only like their lettuce wraps. Nothing else I’ve tried is particularly delightful to me. I need to try and remember this.) After the boys were in bed, hubby and I watched Batman vs. Superman.

I enjoy superhero movies, so I was really looking forward to this one. I liked Man of Steel a lot when we watched it, so I was optimistic about Batman vs. Superman being just as good.

Yeah.

Not so much.

I honestly haven’t been that bored in a movie since The Hobbit. (And don’t get me wrong, I loved the Lord of the Rings movies. And I love the books. But The Hobbit was such a snoozefest we took a six month break in between watching the first hour and the rest of the movie. Batman vs. Superman came close.)

But you know what? I was at least snuggled up with hubs for it, and that definitely helped.

  1. Congratulations on 21 years! We’ll have 20 in a few months. I’m right there with you on Batman vs. Superman. We saw in the theater, and I actually went to the bathroom in the middle just because I was bored. Can’t believe we paid so much to see so little! On Hobbit, I thought it was boring because I was so sleepy when I watched it. Guess it wasn’t just me. šŸ™‚
