A Jaunt North to Glenveagh

Another favorite from this trip was Glenveagh National Park. When you see it like that, I think most Americans picture something like Yosemite. But while Glenveagh does have lots of gorgeous land around it (hills! peat bogs! lakes! heather!) it also has a castle. A gorgeous one at that.(Sadly they didn’t allow photos inside. I understand the
reasoning behind that, but there were so many gorgeous things inside as well.)

Don’t you just want to move in? (I’d need a gardener, obviously, but still.)

Another view of the “house”

This path isn’t far from the main property. Can you fathom having this in your backyard? And you can walk on similar stretches for hours.

Here again we’re very near the castle – this is absolutely a view some of the rooms would have. Heaven.

It was a crazily windy day – you can kind of see that from how the lake is being blown about.
