A Little Crafty Fun

One of the things I’m hoping to do in 2016 is get back to doing some crafty things. As much as I love writing (and love it I do!) I’ve been missing crochet and that sort of thing that I used to also do in the evenings. I realize you can’t always do it all, but even so, I’ve decided to make the boys a quilt (each). There’s an adorable pattern of mix and match houses at Shiny Happy World (honestly, she has the cutest patterns – and I’ve made several of her stuffed animals for the kids, they’re always easy to follow and make) that I’ve decided to do as if they’re residences on other planets.

The boys seem excited about the fabric I chose, so I’m calling it a good start. And I’m hoping it’ll be a nice creative outlet for times when the writing gets a tad stalled. We shall see how it goes.
