And Then It Was October

Can you believe it’s October? I’ll admit, I’m struggling with it. Usually I have lots of warning that October is on the way as my eldest goes on and on about what it is he’s hoping to be for Halloween. And this year…he’s been rather silent. It’s only come up a few times and so far, he’s just not sure. I’m hoping maybe I can convince him to dress up in something I can coordinate with his brother – I love it when they match. It’s just too cute. And I know I can’t do that forever.

With the new month I’m also realizing that our family vacation is fast approaching. There are a few details that I still need to work out (including at least one hotel reservation) and I’m a little surprised I haven’t gotten to those yet. Except I shouldn’t be, because the end of September was a writing deadline and…I’m still (at least as of writing this post) working to get that book turned in. I’m so grateful I have an understanding editor, but honestly, it’s driving me nuts that I’m not finished yet.

And so with that, I’m going to schedule this post and get to writing.
