For a little while now, I've been trying to up my game when it comes…

Birds of a Feather
This weekend I’ll be getting together with a few fellow local Christian authors for some fellowship and chit-chat. I’m looking forward to it. Though we’re expecting a few new faces as well, the core group of ladies is a neat bunch and it’s always encouraging to be around them for a few hours.
It’s an interesting phenomenon that I’ve discovered in my life – I don’t really talk about my writing (or my books) with my regular, non-writing friends. I don’t want to be pushy or make them feel obligated to go out and read my stuff – particularly if it’s not normally the kind of thing they would read. That just gets awkward for everyone (especially if they end up not enjoying it – which has happened.) So, with the two separate worlds I’ve got going, I’m looking forward to a little food for the writing side of the house.
Thinking about it – it’s kind of like having work friends and friend-friends. So maybe you can relate?
