For a little while now, I've been trying to up my game when it comes…

Book Recommendation: Worth the Wait
I’m super excited about the release of Worth the Wait tomorrow. This is a delightful YA coming of age novel that is worth your time to read. (I got a chance to read it pre-pub since it’s being put out by my publisher.)
Ellie Lansing has a picture-perfect life with a close-knit family and the perfect boyfriend. But her world is suddenly knocked off center when her drool-worthy boyfriend cheats, and her always-has-it-together mother is diagnosed with cancer. Ellie doesn’t get it. She always does the right thing – doesn’t God owe her a happy life? Through her heartache, Ellie learns that sometimes what seems like the end is really just the beginning and that what God has for us is always worth the wait.
I loved how real Ellie and her friends are – they could be any of the Christian kids that were in my youth group growing up. And I also loved how the author didn’t shy away from some of the tough issues facing teens today (drinking, pressure for sex, fitting in, etc.) Most of all, I enjoyed watching Ellie grow and mature as she discovered how God’s plan for us is sometimes not exactly what we think it should be.
If you enjoy YA and characters who come alive, this is one to go pick up when it’s released tomorrow.
