Book Review: Promise of a Future

I recently had the chance to read Stephanie McCall’s newest release (it was out in January, I believe) and really enjoyed it. It’s quite different from her first novel (a romantic suspense called Fiery Secrets) so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I enjoyed it quite a bit.

In Promise of a Future, we meet new college student Kate McCune – for all intents and purposes a typical college girl, except for one thing: she has cerebral palsy. The book takes us along with Kate as she struggles to find out what God has for her future as she attempts to adapt to college, deals with bullies, finds friends, and uncovers the truth that her disease doesn’t have to control her circumstances.

If you like YA coming-of-age type books, I think you’ll enjoy this one.
