For a little while now, I've been trying to up my game when it comes…
Book Review: Speaking Confidence
In Speaking Confidence, Lisa Bongiorno-Heidrich provides encouragement and helpful, practical tips to become a better speaker — even if you weren’t a speaker to start out. In fact, the primary message she imparts is that *everyone* has a message and you shouldn’t let fear keep your voice from being heard.
The well-organized book takes you from the very beginning of understanding that you have something to say to figuring out the best way for you to present that message (with the clear understanding that that will vary for every person.) She also spends time of practical things like making sure you know the best way to use different types of microphones and making sure you have backup copies of your backup copy of your speech – just in case!
Whether you are a speaker already or are just starting to feel that speaking might be something you ought/want to do, Speaking Confidence is a helpful resource to have on hand.
