For a little while now, I've been trying to up my game when it comes…
Books I’ve Read Lately(ish) That Are Worthwhile #amreading
Every now and then, I like to think back over the books I’ve been reading and revisit the stories in my head. Doing that inevitably suggest that maybe I ought to make more of an “official” recommendation. So that’s what you’ll find here — books I’ve read somewhat recently that I’ve enjoyed that you just might enjoy as well.
- Valerie Comer’s seasonal novella series. It started in February with Secretly Yours, then there was Pinky Promise in the spring, and summer brought Sweet Serenade. They’re all delightful.
- The Splash novella boxed set. (Note, Sweet Serenade is included in there, so don’t buy it twice.) These are various authors and I loved some and liked all of the novellas in it. Definitely worth reading!
- Worth the Time by Laura Jackson. This is book 2 in the Waltham Academy series and though you don’t need to have read book 1 to love this one, you should still read it as it’s also delightful. (That’s Worth the Wait.)
- Mrs. Covington’s Sunday School Dropouts. This is a fun romp (really light mystery or women’s fic) in the vein of the Harriet Beamer books by Joyce Mangin. It’s delightful and funny and will have you chuckling to yourself as you read.
And that’s probably enough to keep you going for now (though I also will often share books I’ve enjoyed on my Facebook page when I see they’re on sale. So if you don’t follow me there, and you like book recommendations, you might consider giving the page a “like”.)
