For a little while now, I've been trying to up my game when it comes…

Coming Soon – A Cover!
I am not a night person. I don’t know that I’d go so far as to say I’m a morning person, but I did learn early on my marriage that Proverbs 27:14 is, in fact, true. (That’s the one that says “If anyone blesses their friend loudly in the morning, it will be taken as a curse.”) Doubly so if you’re chattering happily at a groggy, night owl hubby, apparently.
I can manage late nights if I have to though. And this past week, racing to get my book done and turned in, there have been more late nights than…college. I want to say actual college. (First off, I didn’t have many late nights in college – I plan ahead entirely too well for that. I was the one with her term paper finished three weeks ahead of the deadline. By the time I hit my Master’s and PhD, I had too much going on–and too many other things to do in the morning–to handle late nights.) But I did manage to get it turned in, so that’s a huge weight lifted. I know edits will be coming soon, and I need to go ahead and get started on the next book in the meantime (particularly since that story is what was trying to keep me from finishing this one.)
Point being – after many late nights, today was rough. For me and for the kiddos (because tired mama is not always as patient as she should be. Couple that with an elder boy who picked today to try and push his limits and you had locked horns for quite a bit of the day.) I did, seriously, consider moving to Australia, no matter that they apparently have bad days there, too.
So it was a lovely, lovely interlude in the my day when I got a call and subsequent video conference to look at the cover for Hope Deferred. I was going to share it today – but I’m not 100% sure the image I have is final and I should probably double check before posting it. So…Friday. Look for it on Friday. Hopefully I’ll have a blurb to share then, too.
