For a little while now, I've been trying to up my game when it comes…
Crossing My Fingers for Snow
The weather man is calling for some fairly significant (at least for this area) snow tomorrow evening. I’m cautiously optimistic, though more often than not, the only time we actually get a good snow is when they insist that the storm will miss us. It’s been rainy the past several days, and on the warmer side of things, so I don’t actually have a realistic hope for accumulation. But I can’t help dreaming.
I love snow.
Some of that may simply be the fact that I grew up with snow. (And I grew up in a considerably less wussy place, where snow – even snow that had to be measured in feet – was not cause for alarm and mass cancellations.) I have so many memories of sledding and tromping to school in snow (that was less fun, but still fun). I have less exciting memories of slipping down the iced over path to school on the way home, but even that can’t take away the childish joy I get at the simple thought of snow.
I think snow is one of those things you either love or hate though. What side of the fence do you fall on? (And if you love it, what’s your favorite thing to do in it?)
(Also – don’t forget to stop by and enter the three giveaways going on this week. All you have to do is leave a comment here, and/or here (or here — same giveaway, proposal story instead of how we met though), and/or here.)
