For a little while now, I've been trying to up my game when it comes…
Do You Fitbit?
So for my birthday a few weeks ago, my husband asked me to come up with something for him to get me. I’m terrible about this. Generally speaking, I don’t really want for much and, when I do, typically we just go ahead and get it then (or we plan for when we can afford it if it’s something big.) So I spent a while casting around for ideas and, as he couldn’t deliver me 1,000 rabid fans, I settled on a Fitbit.
I have to say, it’s been relatively fun to have the little thing tracking my steps. And, thus far, it’s even encouraged me to just get up and get things I need/want instead of asking one of the boys to get it for me. (And really, how sad is that? You wait all that time for kids to be able to serve you and then, boom, time to get healthy and move around yourself. 🙂 )
I’ve made it to the suggested 10,000 steps 3 times. Not as many times as I’d like, but hey every day is getting to be a bit more and so, for now, it’s been fun. Are you a Fitbit person?

I have to admit I’m guilty of asking my kids to retrieve way too many things for me, but I also made a commitment a month ago to start getting up and moving around more to do it myself.
