For a little while now, I've been trying to up my game when it comes…

Finding A New Rhythm
Now that VBS is over, we’re back to finding our new rhythm for the year. We started back to school at the start of July, so we’ve already been playing around with finding the right time for school. (It used to be that we’d do school while the baby napped, but now that he’s ready to do a little pre-school type activity each day, I’m trying to juggle them both at the same time. It’s been…a bit of an adjustment. But I think it’s working okay.)
So if school is in the morning, that means the afternoons are different as well. I’ve been playing with having everyone take some quiet time. It gives my older boy a chance to read quietly and rest (though he adamantly denies needing such a thing), the younger one still falls asleep most days, and that is when I try to get some writing done. But for whatever reason, I find more and more often that all the little things I try to do before I can write take up all of the quiet time available. Which leaves me to write in the evening, after the boys are in bed, except that hasn’t been happening either of late. It’s frustrating.
I know we’ll find our new rhythm. We always do. It’s just a matter of trying combinations ’til we find what works. But, in the meantime, if you think of it, I’d appreciate your prayers that we find something that works for all of us.

Oh how I remember those days! 🙂 You and your family will be in my prayers!
You have my prayers, I home schooled my second son and it’s very time-consuming. I know you will work it out and your days will be full. God bless you you are such an inspiration!
