Fun Times on the Amazon Best Seller Lists

This weekend was fun.

In addition to being the 4th of July with all the ice cream and grilling and family time that goes along with it, it was also the first time I’ve had a book on an Amazon best seller list. And, even more fun? Faith Departed actually managed to work its way up to #1 on two different lists (Christian Women’s Fiction and Contemporary Christian Fiction.)

It has since started slipping back down – but it was a big thrill for me to watch it climb up and hang out for a little while. And yet…that’s not why I write. I write because I hope that the folks who purchase my books read and enjoy them. That the story touches them in some way or, at a minimum, gives them a few hours of entertainment. If there was a list for that – that’d be the one that I really hoped to get on.

Still, I wanted to say thank you to everyone who bought Faith Departed and made it possible to be on the list (let alone climb up so high.) At the risk of sounding like a character from the LEGO movie, you’re awesome.
