I Am Actually Ready for Thanksgiving

Every year, Thanksgiving seems to sneak up on me and I find myself in the grocery store, along with everyone and their third cousin, on Wednesday picking through all the various and sundry left overs for stuff to make our big family meal out of. But this year? This year I have triumphed! I have everything already in my pantry or stashed in the fridge (or freezer). I’m ready. Maybe even raring to go.

I can’t help but think that some emergency will crop up and I’ll still end up in the store on Wednesday night. But for now, I’m basking in the joy that is advanced preparation.
