It’s August!?

Every year, it feels like the summer slips away faster and faster. (I don’t mind this too much as summer is probably my least favorite time of year, but still!) I did a bit of a double-take on Saturday when I saw the date. August.

One thing I love most about this time of year? School supplies. I adore school supplies. In fact, I’d say that office supply stores fall right after book stores in terms of places where I can get lost for hours and spend entirely too much money if I’m left unattended.

The other thing that August brings – at least lately in my life – is Awana. We’re back to open registration (yay!) and the leadership roles are slowly but surely filling in. (Praise God!) It’s like everyone is taking a deep breath and getting ready to say, “It’s fall!”
