It’s Time to Deck the Halls

As is the tradition in our family (and it was the tradition in my family growing up, as well), we’ll be spending the day putting up the Christmas decorations, changing out the CDs in the CD player to Christmas music, and getting ready to celebrate Jesus’s birthday.

Every year, as the boys get older, I look forward to this more and more. I think this year will be the best yet since the littlest is now old enough to really get into it. He’s always enjoyed the nativities, but I think this year, understanding more of who Jesus is and what He came to Earth to do, it’ll be even more special.

I also love digging through the ornaments and remembering when we got (or made) each one. (I don’t love hanging them on the tree, but the boys do, so I tend to unbox them, and then they go to town hanging.)
