Joint Venture Gets a New Look

When I finished my first trilogy (the Grant Us Grace series), I realized that I just loved Matt and Laura, a married couple who popped up in all three books. I’d dropped enough hints in those first three books that I knew they also had a unique and book-worthy story. That tale became my first novella, Joint Venturejvsmall

I loved the cover for Joint Venture. If you read the story, the roses, ribbon, and rings will make perfect sense at the end. (Honestly, the Joint Venture proposal is one of my favorites that I’ve written. I love them all, but Matt…was a clever guy.)

Still, for all that, sales have been very slow. And it only has 11 reviews. So I chatted with my publisher a little after I recovered the first two books in the Taste of Romance series (veering away from flowers to having people on them. It’s that whole you-need-a-cover-that-sells vs you-need-a-cover-you-personally-prefer thing. And we decided that Joint Venture probably could use a refresh as well.

What followed was an incredibly long, drawn out search for pictures that would work — people that would work. And I’m pretty happy with what we finally came up with. And the novella’s priced at just $0.99, so if you’re in the market for a fun contemporary Christian romance, and you missed this one, this might just fit the bill.

    1. Thanks – I hope you enjoy it!

I really did (do!) love the flower cover, it sadly wasn’t doing it’s job in the sales department though. (And, I console myself with the fact that I had that cover for nearly 2 years, so it’s not as if it didn’t have a day in the sun.)
