Off to the Pumpkin Patch We Go!

Tomorrow our family will make their annual pilgrimage to the local pumpkin patch for some gourds to decorate the home. It’s always a fun time with friends from church filled with kettle corn and funnel cakes and mazes and just general fall fun.

As the boys get older, they get more and more into choosing their pumpkins. Then, as Halloween gets closer, they’ll be very vocal about the faces that we should carve into them (we tend to be free-form carvers rather than using those intricate pumpkin patterns. We’ve tried them…but really, can you go wrong with triangle eyes, a nose, and bumpy teeth?)

The weather is actually starting to make it feel almost like fall, too. Makes me a happy gal.
