Only 5 Days!

My book releases in 5 days! I’m practically giddy at the thought. (I’m also teetering on the edge of nervous – I suspect it’s along the lines of how moms feel on their first child’s first day of school. Really excited but also a little terrified.) In the meantime, life around home is pretty busy. My eldest’s birthday is tomorrow – and I have to say it’s startling to think I will have a five year old. I’m not sure where the years went – he’s still the little baby I met at the hospital in my mind for all that he’s a little taller than my elbows and more leg than anything. We’re having a Lego-themed party and I’m taking a break from ModPodge fumes to post while the initial 5 sides of his Lego-brick-shaped pinata dry. Hopefully it’ll be close enough to do the trick – if it’s not too embarrassing, I’ll post a picture another day.

With that – I probably ought to get back up there and check on it. I hope you all had a great New Year – anyone make resolutions they care to share?
