Serenity to Accept – Final Scavenger Hunt Questions

All right folks, for those of you who haven’t jumped in, this is your last shot – I’ll be pulling a winner tomorrow (Saturday, 9/7).

In both Courage to Change and Serenity to Accept the characters spend some time biking around the DC area. (We have some lovely bike paths that are old rail road lines that have been converted to trails.) Let’s learn a little about the Washington and Old Dominion Rail Trail.

1. How wide is the Washington and Old Dominion Railroad Regional Park (that houses the trail)?
2. How long is the Park?
3. When did the W&OD run as a railroad?
4. How soon after being built was the railroad almost destroyed?
