Sometimes Monday is a Nice Break from the Weekend

Ever feel that way?

This weekend was so crazily busy, I find myself glad to be back to a more normal week where days are a little bit more laid back and I can spend time focused on enjoying the kids and less on running here, there, and everywhere. Not every weekend is like that (last week we spent all of Saturday in our pajamas – it was awesome) but the ones that are…phew, I’m glad when they’re over.

Even still, we got some pictures of the boys taken (they’re adorable. Neither of them can take a bad photo, I think. But I might be a tad biased.) We had entirely too much ice cream (what are you going to do when you walk right by not only Ben & Jerry’s but also Sweet Frog?) We had Awana and church and Sunday School and dinner with friends.

And looking at that, it’s not really all that much. Though I did also squeeze in some writing time.

The week ahead looks much calmer, and I’m relishing the thought of not having to run quite so much. What about you? How’s  your week shaping up?

  1. My weekend was busy too. Not so much running on Saturday, I got caught up on cleaning that gets a little neglected during the week. It was nice though, hubby had to work overtime, and I had the house to myself. I find it much more pleasant to clean when I am alone. It seems like when anyone is around, it’s hard to get things done. Sunday was a bit more busy than usual for us. Our church is 45 minutes away, and after church I had to go to Kohl’s ( I try to always find an excuse to go to Kohl’s) to exchange jeans for my daaughter, and of course couldn’t leave without a pair for myself. 🙂 then home in time for hubby to watch the football games, and my reading time.

Speaking of reading, I am counting the days until the release of your new book. I can’t wait! 🙂

    1. Yay for cleaning – or something 🙂 But I agree it’s easier when no one else is home – plus then it gets to stay clean for at least an hour or two. 🙂

I love Kohl’s. Any excuse is a good one for that!
