The Calendar is Filling Up

Do you ever look at your family calendar and find your breath catching in your throat? I had that stunning little revelation this weekend as I was looking over the month. Gosh…we’ve gotten busy suddenly. Some of it is that the oldest has decided to give playing basketball a try, so we have practices and games added to the list, some is that we’re trying to be more proactive about having our small group from church over for fellowship, and some is most likely just a fact of this stage of life. But wow. Busy.

I’m trying to convince myself it’s a good thing. And it is. All those things I just listed? They’re great. And if they help me kick my Candy Crush addiction, all the better right?

What it does mean is that I need to be more intentional about carving out my writing time. So that is my main priority this week — to get to the point where I’m setting aside time to write and actually using it to write.
