For a little while now, I've been trying to up my game when it comes…

The Next Big Thing Blog Hop
So all over the place, people have been tagging me or asking me to participate in this blog hop. I’m finally getting around to it! So without further ado…my next big thing!
Ten Interview Questions for The Next Big Thing:
- What is the working title of your book?
Courage to Change - Where did the idea come from for the book?
It’s the 2nd in the Grant Us Grace series – and really it came from the fact that once I settled on the title for Wisdom to Know, I knew I needed to also have Courage to Change and Serenity to Accept! - What genre does your book fall under?
Contemporary Romance/Women’s Fiction - Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?
I always have such a tough time with this! I think I would choose Natalie Portman to play Allison Vasak (Allison’s hair is a little longer, but this is more the look than any of her long hair pictures.) As for Phil Reid, maybe Marc Blucas. - What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?
Should you be willing to change for love? - Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency?
Neither. It’ll be published by a small press (HopeSprings Books), but I’m working without an agent at this point. - How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?
Two months. - What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?
Maybe I kid myself, but I consider my writing style and voice to be similar to Sandra Bricker’s – maybe it’s just because I love her Always the X, Never the Bride series so much though. - Who or What inspired you to write this book?
I fell in love with Allison when I was writing Wisdom to Know and knew she needed her own book. You don’t get to know too much about her — but she’s one of my characters who I really wish was real, cause I would want her to be my friend! - What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest?
There’s a minor element of suspense in this one. In Wisdom to Know, we had Brad and Staci, but they were just mean. In Courage to Change, we have Phil’s ex-wife Brandi and she causes some significant mayhem. It was fun to work that thread into the story.
And now for some tagging. Rather than tagging people to go forth and do their own posts, I am instead linking to a few folks who have already participated so you can go read what they have to say.
