VBS Week!

It’s VBS week at our church and I’m excited to have a chance to Journey Off the Map with a great group of kids and teach Bible to the K & 1st graders. Should be a super fun week.

The only possible down side is that the relatively  mild temperatures we’ve been having this summer have left us and we’re looking the second hottest week of the summer in the eye. Want to guess which was the hottest? Yeah, if you guessed the week I did Cub Scouts Day Camp, you win!

My husband asked if maybe I should just plan to not participate in things like this so the rest of the world didn’t have to deal with the heat waves. He’s a laugh riot, that one. But at least for VBS I get to stay in my nice cool air-conditioned tree house and the kids come to me. And if they need to do recreation out in the heat, well, I won’t be joining them.
