For a little while now, I've been trying to up my game when it comes…
What Do You Call A Gathering of Writers?
Tomorrow night I’m having a group of local writers (and possibly some spouses) over for a little Christmas party. Other than being slightly panicked by the state of my house, I’m looking forward to it. (I have two small boys. It never stays clean for long. I know no one will care, but…I care. You know?)
But having them over got me to thinking, there isn’t (to my knowledge) a word for a gathering of writers. I mean, we have a murder of crows, a gaggle of geese, and so on and so forth. It seems to me that writers are odd enough ducks that we ought to have our own term for a gathering.
So I’ll throw out to you my suggestion for a gathering of writers: anthology (or possibly compendium. Cause compendium is a good word.)

I like compendium, too!
It’s such a good word, isn’t it?
Whatever they’re called, I’m sure they’re a novel group. 😎
Ha! That we are!
How about a “composition” of writers?
Oooh, I like that!
