What’s For Easter Dinner At Your House?

indexI was somewhat hoping to just have a quiet, immediate family Easter this year. Not sure why – I always enjoy our extended family get-togethers. I suspect part of it is that I feel like I’ve been sick (or at least not well) since mid-February when I had the flu. And so I’m tired. And the idea of a big family shindig just makes me tired thinking about it. I know it’ll be worth it and we’ll all love it – but I’m drawing a blank on the menu. So…I’m looking for suggestions.

A few caveats:

– I can’t face ham. I know it’s easy and semi-traditional. But…I just can’t face it. Bleh. Too much ham this past year I guess.

– I’ll consider lamb, provided there’s an alternate protein around as well cause when I think of lamb, I don’t think of succulent and delicious meat, I think of adorable little puffy things hopping merrily on hillsides. (Yes, I know sheep in real life are dirty and smell. But…lambs! Baa.) (And yes, they’re the only animal that causes this problem for me, I’m an unapologetic carnivore.)

Other than that, I’m wide open. Hit me. If there’s a winning suggestion, you might just find yourself the owner of an ebook.
