For a little while now, I've been trying to up my game when it comes…
What’s Going On In Writing Land?
It occurred to me that I haven’t summed up what’s going on in my own little version of writing land lately. And so, since I needed a post for today – that’s what you’re getting!
- I released Kinsale Kisses this week in e-book and paperback. To get to that point was lots of formatting and uploading. The kindle version wasn’t terrible to get together but the paperback…the paperback made me appreciate how much my publisher does for me from that standpoint alone. It may not be the last book I indie pub, but I might not rush into it quite as quickly next time. (Though next time it’ll be easier, I suspect, as the initial learning curve is over. But whatever.)
- I’m doing final edits for Love Defined, which releases in December. It’s the final installment of June and July’s story and I hope it leaves everyone with a happy, satisfied feeling. Though I’ll warn you now, it may not be cookie-cutter happily ever after. I deal in reality with my fiction, as you know. Still, I think the ending works and is happy (and satisfying) – but then, I didn’t think the ending of Hope Deferred was a cliff hanger either.
- I’ve also started on the first in a trilogy of full-length contemporary romances that’ll release in 2015. I’m very excited about this new series – though I’m not divulging too many more details than that right now. Something to look forward to!
- I haven’t firmly decided one way or the other about NaNoWriMo for this year yet, though if I do it, it’ll be skirting the rules a little as I’ll likely be working on a novel I’ve already started.
- And in non-writing-land related news, my kids still haven’t figured out what they want to be for Halloween. It’s very odd for them to wait so long and I begin to worry ever so slightly that we won’t have time to get costumes put together correctly.
