For a little while now, I've been trying to up my game when it comes…
Goals for the New Year
I’m not one who’s huge on setting lots of New Year’s Resolutions. But I do believe in planning and setting goals. (I’m not sure there’s a huge difference between the two, beyond what’s in my mind, but what can I say? To me, a resolution is simply saying “Oh, I’m going to do this!” But a goal has steps to get you from point A to point B and so forth. It feels more achievable.)
And so, I thought I’d share a few of my writing goals for the New Year:
- Write and have published the three books in my Taste of Romance series (scheduled release dates are March, July, and November.)
- Write another novella.
- Indie pub the novella
- Get started on the Jane Austen-inspired romance that’s rattling around in my head. I’m not sure if it’ll end up being part of a series or if it’ll be a stand alone. But I just know that it’s dying to get written. If it’s a stand-alone, I suspect I’ll indie release it, but maybe not this year.
- Continue blogging Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
- Be more reliable with newsletters – including some fun newsletter subscriber contests (there’s one going on now – be sure you’re signed up so you don’t miss the next one.)
- Work on forming a street-team. (If you’re a fan and would like to help me out occasionally with word-of-mouth marketing, shoot me an email and I’ll add you to my list of who to contact when I get the final details hammered out.)
What about you? Are you setting goals or making resolutions this year? Want to share?
