For a little while now, I've been trying to up my game when it comes…
Spring is Here!
I have to say, it’s lovely knowing that spring is absolutely here. (Even if it was chilly yesterday, it was a bright, sunny chilly that still smelled of spring.)
One of my favorite things about spring is being able to be outside. The boys can run in the back yard or we can all ride bikes out front. It’s so much nicer than being cooped up inside like we are for many days in the winter (though, all things considered, our winters are mild. But it feels like the dry days are bitterly cold and the more mild days are wet. None of which makes for good outside playing. Or we’re wusses. That’s a possibility too.) Regardless, the boys have been spending lots of time outdoors the last week(ish) and it is a very, very good thing.
My least favorite thing? The maple trees. Oh, I love them when their leaves are all finally in. But this time right now where they’re trying to bud? I’m miserable. Maples are pretty much my worst allergy. (And of course we have six of them in our yard, the neighbors have 4, across the street are at least 4 more…you get the idea. There’s no escaping the maples.) Still, they’re pretty and provide good shade once the leaves are in, so for now I’m just reminding myself that Allegra is my friend.
Do you have a favorite thing about spring?

I love Spring! I love watching the flowers bloom, the trees budding, the grass turning from dead brown to beautiful green. And yes, I love the smell, even on chilly, windy days, the smell of spring is great! We had a variety of weather on Saturday. Sunny and warm in the morning, cold and blustery in the early afternoon, snow and high winds in the late afternoon, (no accumulation, but still…) and rain, cold, and high winds in the evening! Gotta love Ohio weather, and Saturday proved that if you don’t like the weather in Ohio, stick around for a few, it’ll change! 🙂
Ah, I’d love to sit and enjoy spring with you sometime. 🙂
Our weather isn’t quite as changeable as yours, but close! We did have some crazy wind this weekend!
I love spring too. I love being at my daughter’s house in the country sitting on her back porch seeing all of the green trees and beautiful wildflowers.
